Hello Everybody!
Every year I buy a few boots or booties that I add to my closet and that can stay current even when styles change. I believe it is important to invest in boots that will last for many years and own a variety of boots that can go with various styles. I would not call myself a hoarder because I’m always cleaning out my closet or donating items; however, when it comes to boots I have many choices that I feel are essential!
Uggs:
I know what you are going to say, “why uggs” but they are super warm and comfortable. Living in the windy city of Chicago, having boots like these are a priority. I know they are expensive but they are worth the investment. I have had my ugg boots for over 2 years and they still look barely used if you know how to take care of them.
Snow boots:
investing in a great pair of snow boots is so important. Snow can really beat up your shoes, but when you have good quality boots and you take care of them they will last forever. I own a pair of Ralph Lauren snow boots for over 3 years and I am telling you they are stylish and clean. I absolutely love them!
Over-the-knee boots:
I think everyone should own a pair of over-the-knee boots. These boots are so flattering and so much fun to wear. They can dress up or down an outfit. These boots have been on trend for a couple of years but I think these boots will stay in style for awhile.
A pop of color:
I recently bought a pair of burgundy booties and I really love them. The pop of color really adds to an outfit, especially with when wearing all black.
Black:
black booties are also an essential item to have in your closet. I probably wear my black booties the most. I bought it at the Steve Madden Store a few years ago. It has lasted me so long because they are real suede leather.
If you want quality boots, consider investing in a pair I’m telling you that it is worth it! You won’t have to find that pair of shoes you love next year!
PS: consider purchasing at the end of winter when the prices drop…..
XOXO
