Wow! I can’t believe I’m 33 weeks already! People said it would go by fast and many times I would not believe them because, well, they are not the ones carrying this baby. However, the things I struggled with earlier seemed so long ago and now I’m really pushing forward and counting down the days until I meet our baby girl!
At 33 weeks our baby is now the size of a pineapple and weighs 4 lbs and 10 ounces!! I feel heavier but I’ve learned this is the time they grow the most! The doctor predicts that I will have about a 7lb baby. This week my feet started to swell. Other than that this baby is developing well so far!
Physically I’ve gained about 22-23 pounds. I still have not developed crazy cravings and I don’t eat in the middle of the night. I have gotten very fond of ice cream (more than I was before I got pregnant) but other than that I eat like everyone else. Most of my nausea and sickness is gone but I do experience back pain and acid reflux every once in a while.
So what have I learned so far with pregnancy….
Women’s bodies are resilient- During my first trimester I would literally throw up in the middle of the day at work, eat some crackers and get back to work. We have to work ten times harder with a whole human growing inside of us!
I am stronger than I think- I have to keep reminding myself this several times. There are days when I feel tired and don’t want to get up, I look in the mirror and remind myself that I am a strong mom.
This is an experience I will never forget- when I feel her move, kick or on the monitor during an ultrasound I am immediately in awe! It took a long time to have this feel real to me, even after hearing her heartbeat but when I saw and felt her move reality hit me!
So far I am learning a lot about my body and myself as a person! Pregnancy really changes you and I am grateful to be able to carry such a wonderful blessing! I hope you enjoyed my updates!
